Love this fuzz.

According to the layout the collector resistor should be 10k with a 2N3904 where it should be 100k. 10k is the value to use with a darlington.

With a non-darlington and a 10k resistor on the collector I get severe gating. Being a newbie I tried lowering the value only to get even worse gating. With a 100k I got normal note decay.

Can somebody please explain why it "gates" on a lower value?
