hey everybody.  My latest project is a condensor microphone that's routed through a clean boost into a little gem circuit.  My problem is my mic is stuffed into a metal cylinder with a couple slots in it for the signal to get through.  As you might imagine the mic housing combined with the distortion makes this thing a feedback monster.

I am looking for a simple parametric eq to add to the circuit so i can notch out the offending frequencies for live use.  I specifically left space on the perf in case i needed to add one, but it's not enough space for a large build.  All of the parametric eqs i've searched for are 3 band and i can't quite figure out how to simplify them to one band.  The controls i'm looking for are frequency, Q width, and level.

Any advice would be appreciated, and hopefully i'll get some pics up as the unit came out really cool.

thanks aron, that's a great article...  the way it looks i think i'm going to go with the twin t for simplicity's sake.
