What kind of trannies should I use in CS OD?? I looked at the datasheets and the
BC 167C's D.C. gains are @vce 5V and @2mA: min 420 typ 520 max 800
BC 184C's gains are @vce 5V and @2mA: min 250 max 850

You can't get those trannies, especially, if you live in Finland. And those are very rare, I suppose in other countries too. What trannies should I substitute the 184's or 167's???

Any NPN will work fine.  2N3904, 2N5088, 2N5210.  Use sockets, and whatever transistors you can find easily.

I just used typical NPN transistors. I remember liking it but those were early days!

Hello Hello--
I use BC-184's in mine and they sound great.
Go to WWW.OTTOSGUITARS.COM  and contact me through the site.   I may have some 184 and 184 C .

I'm really interested in difference beetween Overdriver and Power Boost...
I've only seen schematic for Overdriver...
Does anyone here know how they're different ??

AFAIK just the name.  Originally called the Power Boost, later renamed the Overdriver.

I suppose I would use BC549C or BC109C or strange japanese trannies called 9014C. They sound awesome (japanese)!!! Listened the sound samples of OD and it sounded very nice for a sili fuzz... So I´m going to build that pedal.
