Small Clone Chorus - sweep is 'lopsided'

I finished up my rebuild of a Small Clone, added a 50k delay pot per some tips from Tom.
It fired right up, first try, but I'm noticing a few quirks:
1) Sometimes the chorus sweep takes a little while to kick in, and even then it's not consistent. It's almost like it's pick attack controlled.
2) The sweep seems a little lopsided; instead of being a smooth, circular chorus, it's like there's a small dip occuring.
The rate and depth seem to be working fine.

Any ideas? I mean, other than that the sound is fine.
