Wiring Help

I'm building a Ross Compressor clone, and I've run into a minor jam. The schematic i'm using calls for a 2k linear trimpot, but for whatever reason I didn't pick one up when i was shopping for parts and none of my local stores carry trimmers.

I do have a 2k linear "normal" pot though, and I was wondering how to wire it into the board, assuming it's possible?


The board calls for one of the triangular type trimmers, or something like this:

--O--
O--O

Which pins correspond to which lugs on the normal pot?

IF it's a linear pot, get the wiper [middle] lug conntection right and the other two are interchangable [maybe you want to have CCW Be CCW, in which case figure it out before or swap the outside lug connections...].
