Okay, so I know using a machanical switch for speaker/cab switching is a Bad Thing when talking tube amps...

But is it fine for a measly little Ruby?  I assume the answer is yes... but who knows, maybe I've been gradually killing my little guy by clipping him to different loads on the fly while trying to settle on the best speaker configuration.

I've settled on how I'd like to do the switching, and can do it with an SPDT if I'm not stupid...  So on to the big question... is this right?

Looks ok to me. Also the worst I think you could do is kill the 386 chip. You probably socketed it right? So if you do kill it you can relpace it and re-think the switching thing.
