Whisker Biscuit troubleshooting

I just completed my WB. I plugged it in and it works!!! Oh wait, it doesn't... oh it does again! Oh no, it's dead again. Arrgh!

It powers up and works good for a few notes, then fades away, then starts gating real hard and lets only a millisecond of the hardest notes through.

I'll get the voltage measurements if necessary.

Voltage swould be good.
Also, try replacing the diode that connects collector and base of the Darlington.
