I've been looking at maybe building the Great Cheddar as my next project. I have heard that the Big Cheese is a very versatile fuzz unit.

My questions for those that have built the Great Cheddar...

What kind of fuzzes/distortion units can you dial in with it?

Ger or Si Fuzz Face, Big Muff Pi, Fuzztone, Boss DS-1, Overdrives?

Or is that all just hype?

Hi, http://www.lovetone.com/index2.html

has some quick sound samples of the BC if you click on the pedals knob on the bottom.

I think the versatility of this pedal is in the EQ options.  Haven't actually finished mine (YET...), but I got interested in this one because of the rotary switch that changes capacitors in the tone stack (which is a Big Muff type).  On mine I'm going to try to go further and add a couple more postions on the rotary switch for different mods to the BMP tone stack, like a mid boost, and a stupididly deep mid notch.
