OK all you fellow aussies, listen up.
Has anyone in Australia built the Tycobrahe Octavia? Where did you get the 3:1 transformer from?
I've checked the Jaycar, Altronics, DSE and RScomponents sites, and I can't find any transformers with the specs on the TO schematic/layout at GGG.
I'll do mail order or whatever, so I suppose I could always order from Mouser, though I'd like to try a bit closer to home first.

Thanks in advance.
"Why can't I do it like that?"

Don't RS have something near enough?I thought they had a 2.4k/600 which is kinda in the ballpark but they are expensive. The 42TM011 is the mouser part listing at $1.73.Maybe one of the chaps in the states could help you out.Just go down to your local airport and buy $5.00US and wrap it in carbon paper. You do realise that it may be 3/1 impedance wise but windings wise its 38/22 which makes it 1.7/1.I'm sure you do but thought I'd throw it in anyways because a 2.4k/600 is a 2/1 winding and thats pretty bloody close.
Oh and the windings are the square roots of impedance.
Monkey see, monkey do.
