TLE2142 instead of MC33178

Hello ...
I found at TI's homepage that TLE2142 is a direct replacement for MC33178 ... but I know a little about TLEs and don't know why ordered single dual and quad tle opamps .
Someone here told me that they use much less power than Tls for example, but I dont know if I could use them instead tls or tlcs ... so
What are the biggest differences between tl, tlc, tle and opa familys , considering ti's opamps ?

And what is a jfet input and what does it influence in the overall result?
