I finished building the minibooster "Boutique Booster" project at www.generalguitargadgets.com and although I have continuity throughout all pots and the circuit, turning the tone control does nothing to the sound. The schematic call for lugs 3&2 of the tone pot to be wired together then to ground , and then for lug one to go to the .047uF cap and to the rest of the circuit. I tried it this way and then tried wiring lug 3 to ground and the cap wired across, lugs 1&2. still no go. the pot is good as resisitance varies as I turn the knob. What could be wrong?

What would you recommend for a cap

I would try a 0.1uF and see how it works. If it's too big for your taste, work down from there.
