it's pretty interesting.  piano bass strings with individual Fender Rhodes pickups in stereo... all odd strings go to one side, evens to the other, and the whole thing feeds two leslies.  very unusual tones... check out the other links where there are even more fun recordings!

Mmm, cool sounds. Personally, I find 'ambient' music more fun for the performer than for the listener, but it has its devotees. I can relate to the 'vacuum cleaner' anecdote, though.

Totally in favor of this, but I can't actually see anything 'new' about it! Am I missing something? People have been micing up string assemblages & hammering & bowing them for years.
