I wanted to try and build the lm3886 amp from ggg, the actual amp seems pretty strait forward, it's the bipolar power supply that confuses me. First off, i do not know the first thing about transformers, and was wondering if anyone knows a good site that has some VERY basic info on transformers, like what are secondaries and primaries and such, to hopefully avoid asking too many dumb questions here. also i picked up at transformer a while back and was wondering if it would be suitable for the project from here:

thanks for any help,

I typed in "transformers explained" into Google and got this.

I'm going to read it too!

Thank's Aron.

It's a very informative article. I have printed it out for reference.

I was looking at the shop. They sell guitar effects and power supplys for effects.
