Darkseid, I'm also wondering how you did the decals.
The one with the skull is very much like a pedal I'm working on right now - same Raco box with all jacks/controls mounted in lid. I plan to paint it black and also have a (different) skull design for it. I was going to try sticker paper on it.
I am particularly curious how you did the white letters on black. Is that sticker paper?
The studs would look cool if you can make them stick and not fall off too easily.

White background, Dark T-shirt transfer of black around skull would do that.

Getting lighter pictures/pot labels on dark backgrounds is something I have been giving some thought too as to designing decals on my pedals. Paint pens+ stencil and the method mentioned above are what I have came up with. Ofcourse a printer cant print in white, which is why we have this predicament.

Yeah, the only thing I've used so far is the transparent water-slide decals - I have to paint the box white when I want white lettering.
I have a stack of the sticker paper now - but haven't tried it yet. I think it might be simpler to use than the iron-ons, and it is much cheaper.

disto you can get the boxes probably at any home supply store, they are called Raco boxes, very cheap boxes.... This site is what turned me onto Raco boxes lol....

Darkseid, I'm also wondering how you did the decals.

I spray paint the lid first, let the paint dry till its a little sticky then add white sticker decal paper, it seems to bond really well this way :).....before adding the decal paper I add a few light coats of Clear Enamel on the decal paper then stick it to the sticky paint on the raco lid.  Cut the holes and corners with a razor then 4 or 5 heavy coats of Clear Enamel and thats it :)  It bonds really well.... plus very quick to do.
Smooth and solid looking.... I like it  better than doing the iron on thing....

The studs are like staples, they are stapled into the leather, I took a few studs out and drilled a few small holes in a raco box and folded the stud staples into the holes, they seem to hold up really well, maybe adding a lil bonding glue and they want go nowhere lol.... will have to do one like that.

Here's a couple of Easy Vibes. The second one was for a friend who ran a recording studio. I made it really simple with no status light and only to be powered by an adaptor.
Enjoy.

They look great. They used to sell those chrome knobs at Radio Shack a --long-- time ago. I used two on the guitar I finished last year:
