Hmm. Well, ok. I do think the key is about doing a second pour at a different viscosity, but I think it's tricky to do it at the right time. The absolute ideal would be to do each side as a different pour, but who has time to do one side of a box a day? I actually sort of like the drippy sides, but I wonder if that's one of those things that you "like" because you're stuck with it. Like a wife.

...My next effect will likely be a Dr. Boogey or a higher gain tube unit...

You're after higher gain tube circuit?! Do yourself a favour and take a chance on my 12AT7 TUBE STAR...
You will love its gain (but your neighbours won't...)

Woah... That's all I can say.

That is awesome Slade!

My first build in all of its gnarly-looking glory. A GGG Rodent built on stripboard. Just got it working today.

Definitely going to try a similar circuit with some of Jack Orman's ideas.

Good job! I love it...... The rat's nest inside brings it all together.  ;D

Wow, that's pretty cool appliancide. Can you tell us a little about how you did the finish? Is that shellac or wood glue or something?

Thanks guys!

The wiring looked a little better before my ham-fisted troubleshooting began.

Here's the story with the finish...

The original plan was for the pedal to be lime green on top and orange on the bottom with the Rat Fink applied as a decal to the top after painting. I didn't know that you couldn't use the iron-on decals on paint.  :icon_redface: Things got a little messy. The paint ran and the decal only stuck in a few spots.
Plan B: Print same image out on regular piece of paper and use spray paint to adhere it to the enclosure. Let my inner Jackson Pollock have a go.

The final finish is a few coats of Rustoleum rattle can clear coat and doodling with a black paint pen.
