Thanks PD!  The etch is actually nicer than this picture looks...  It came out well.  I like how I was able to center the 3PDT on the radio-active symbol.  Dumb geek tricks.
I used to really be with it!  That is, until they changed what "it" is.  Now, I can't find it.  And, I'm scared!  --  Homer Simpson's dad

That's a nice clean-looking build :) Where did you get the box?

Thanks!

It sounds very nice too, it's of bazz fuss level simplicity too..

The Box is by a company called Teko. http://www.tekoenclosures.com/
I've wanted to find alternatives to the regular aluminium boxes, but haven't really had any success. This box could maybe cut it if you either reinforced the area around the stomp switch, or put in a software controlled DPDT-relay  using a momentary switch.  The latter alternative I like a lot because I'm not a fan of the kerchunkiness of these regular stomping 3PDT's, but that also means you'll probably can't find anything funny sounds using voltage starvation.

Well, I built it for myself and I never stomp on my stomboxes, just use my hands. Pretty much, If i want to play with it, it'll be in the chain and engaged, otherwise it will be on my shelf or something.

Strategy

I use the Teko enclosure projects sometimes for 'desktop' style electronics - synths or related projects where stomp switch is not applicable!
Or extra large effects.

I really dig that toner transfer Rob. I saw a tutorial on that a while back on YouTube, but I only have an inkjet  :icon_confused:

This is my first post on this topic... Also my first time working with metal boxes and waterslide decals  ;D I usually just use whatever I have around for an enclosure, but this is a build for a friend
I actually really like waterslides. They're easy, and look good. I made a few mistakes though. My sanding could've been better, my decals a little crooked, and my clear coat isn't the best, but I did learn a lot this first time around. Maybe next time will be a little better.

Here it goes:

It's a buffer, followed by a simple NPN boost stage, followed by a FET - because T@N3. Absurdly loud. First knob controls a cap's reference to ground on the source of the FET, then there's a simple lo pass switch and volume.

Guts are terrible. I did 7 versions of the thing on the same perfboard (and then added daughter board)

My favorite part  Sorry, more than 2 pics  :icon_wink:

No knobs yet. Any suggestions?

jimilee

Naa, knobs are only gonna make people want to touch them! That's no good, unless you find skulls, that's be cool

i'd suggest putting the toggle sw spider washer under the box.. ;)

Screwed up the drilling a bit :)

Big muff (russian green) and TS-808 from tonepad.

This is my first stomp project with finish (and few fails there).

jubal81

Wow! Homerun right off the bat, Banzai. Brilliant work - and nice, tidy wiring.

peterg

+1.

Bansai-Che - first builts aren't allowed to look that good!

look great !

I like the rabbit !!!!!!   ;)

duck_arse

nice to see the russian theme extended as far as the battery, too.

yellow led for the bunny?
You hold the small basket while I strain the gnat.

banzai-che

Thank you all!

peterg, well this is not exactly the first building, but before that I was building amplifiers only.

duck_arse, oh... difficult to resist Russian theme, when you living in Russia  ;D
Yellow LED will be tomorrow.

That explains the large size resistors at the LEDs and the immaculate wiring runs and tie wraps!
