Wow that's great! Is that two delays I hear?

doug deeper

nope just one delay!
its just a vibrato/chorus type affair.
but with a much wider range (about an octave),
and the option of a square wave modulator.
witch is cool cause the actual modulation comes out like a sharp peak that falls quickly as the delay pulls back to zero.
not sure if anyone else has messed around with modulation on the pt2399 chip...
but it works quite well. and sounds super smooth.

I had made a PT80 delay and had tried experimenting with a CDS cell across the delay time pot. I made an LFO, I used the one from commonsound, to modulate an LED in front of the CDS cell. But I couldn't  get it to work and gave up. You have inspired me to give it another try I still have the LFO I made on a little piece of perfboard it comes in handy for testing.

I made a Chorus/Vibrato... does not sound bad at all, but the delayed signal is at least 30ms behind, so it sounds more "separated" than regular choruses. And the vibrato it's noticeably late when you play it.

Can you tell us what did you use as a modulator? A used a regular BC549 transistor.

Luck!

i used an led ldr combo...
there is a bit of a dealy on the more extreme setting...but using the "chorus" setting solves that. (adding the direct signal)
some of the super fast modulated setting are really cool sounding as well...
super roboty.

soggybag

It didn't work for me, but I used an LDR in parallel with the Delay time pot.

Where is the chorus sound?  Is there a mix knob?  You should add one to get chorus if there isn't one.

doug deeper

there's a chorus/vibe switch.

Thank you very much, much appreciated.

Thanks a bunch for the clips.  That thing is probably the most awesome guitar effect I have ever heard.   8)
