Storing!

Hi all

I'm doing a project with a EM flanger that's made stereo in stereo out. So to achive something that goin to be more or less true bypassing both signal paths I's using a 4053 switch as described on the handy dandy Roma page

http://members.shaw.ca/roma/switching.html

The problem is that this takes away a lot of top high end, besides that there is a very noticable volume drop. I A/B the switch to a direct connect.

the resistance over the switch is 360 Ohms, so that can't be the problem.

Any help would be appreciated.

Hi!

You should better read http://www.geofex.com/Article_Folders/cd4053/cd4053.htm

I dont know what Roma was thinking, but those 100K resitors are way too low impedance for guitar use. I think you should buffer the signal before going to the switching (always a good idea with electronic bypassing).

Note that this is not true bypass in any sense!
