OK. I am building one and I can find a lot of different versions and I just wanted all the versions combined in one thread. So post your schematics of the Bazz Fuss or related schematics.

Mine's the "Buzz box" at the bottom, it's 2x bazz fuzz in series !
Sounds great BTW  :D

Thanks for pointing me to Tim's version, which I just built very quickly!
I had a TM018 transformer, so tried that at the front too.
Great sounding little `Fuzz/Dist circuit  :D

Any more versions / mods / idea's?

I am thinking about putting a 1M resistor parallel to the diode

On the joy buzzer is that suppose to be a DPDT on those diodes or two separate SPDT's?

Bernardduur

I guess two SPDT's, but with 1 DPDT you'll get grind and octave at the same time ;)

Perhaps a small cap across the diodes would remove a bit of "Fizz" but
I quite like it on mine, I only added a 1M pulldown resistor at the front
and power protection diode/large filter cap .
The "Octavia" transformer at the back end might sound good on one of these circuits too ...

Anyone tried to put more Bazz Fusses behind another (like the buzzbox has 2) and how would that sound?

once i put a bazz fuss in front  a buzz box

not very nice,
it was WAY too noisy, and, somewhat extremely sensitive -in a bad way-... it kinds of catch every slight vibration of any string and amplifies/distorts the hell out of it...

sounds fun, but... yuck, a no-no

I've been tweaking on a buzz box for the last week when I have the time. This is a really beefy sounding fuzz.

Has anyone added a tone control? I tried an input cap blend ala Oskar Bruil/Joe Gagan but couldn't get it to function correctly for some reason. I've got a few hours open tomorrow so I'll try again - just wondering if anyone had beat me to it.

OK, I made one Buzz box but MAN, what is this thing loud......

I can't move the controls over their off setting due to the enourmous increase in gain / sound. A bit too much.

Oh, I used KSP14's..... Hmmm, I guess they are a bit too much ;)

After 30 years of electronics building experience, I've just spent two weekends trying to get a bazz fuss to work, with no success. A one-stage transistor circuit! Sometimes, this happens.
