It's great to see the site still getting some hits!   Thanks!    I seriously need to update it...someday.   

Marty, for the distortion, I used my crappy Marshall Valvestate 8100 head and lined out directly into the sound card.  It's definitely got a decent fuzz quality, but is extremely noisy.  You should be able to get a similar distortion from a Marshall Shredmaster or any op-amp based clipper distortion pedal.
