where can i get one of them pretty lil 500mH or 660mH inductors so that i can build my guitarist a wah pedal out of his volume pedal for his barmitzfa?  i asked my uncle if he had any (his house is like a radio shack) and he said one of those would be too big to fit in a pedal.  then i showed him the schematic and he had a dumbfounded look on his face.
i have no idea what i just said

i want to build one of these puppies...

don't know which one yet as i can't tell apart how different circuits will sound like, unlike the veterans here.  which should i go for?  think Rage Against The Machine

I would go with the GCB95 (the second one linked) because it has an input buffer = less tone sucking when bypassed.  :icon_cool:

the fasels are all over the place in values, but tom at ariel fx makes a halo inductor that will be within the 500 -520mH range.
i have a yellow fasel that is 680mh that sounds decent, but i wound my own halo and it is a better inductor for my taste.

For a choice you could try tom over at arielfx. he has the yellow, red fasel and halo's

he has one of the halo's on the 'bay that may not take a 1 to 3 week wait to make.

hope this helps.

doesn't steve sell teh kits too ?

you can get the fasels anywhere; but I recomend aron...fair prices, doesn't rip you off on shipping, fast service, and most importantly, it helps keep this place up and running.

I wasn't aware that the FASEL'S had such a wide range. Has anyone else had this experience, the wide tolerances of the Fasel's? :icon_confused:

no one ever

just got a halo today.

maaan i wish it was easier to get henrie values... i want to compare this one to my stock jh-1.. but oh well.

Just get a few more & connect them end to end, inductors add like resistors!

spidersbass, your uncle was probably thinking about tube power supply filter chokes, these have to be iron core & pretty bulky to carry the current without saturating. I guess you have already tried to raid him for the 'good old stuff'..
