I'v noticed that more than one guy is often forced to change the 220pf cap to his needs (so did I) but I encountered the need to have it different in relation to the guitar/amp used in a particular session. Could it be possible/logical to implement a sort of tone pot in the input or output section ?

You could use a toggle/rotary switch to select between different cap values, for diff amp set ups.

Well, I thought to something like the tone pot for the guitar where the cap is still the same but its effect is handled by the pot.
I'd like to know if its do-able and which kind of pot should I use.
The idea came looking at a cs-3 which has a tone pot (btw I dont know if it works the same way I think)

You could go for Mark Hammers stupidly wonderful tone control.

It's still not clear what you want such a control to *do*. Start with an identified purpose and the rst is easy.

Mark, first of all please try to understand that I dont get a thing of electronics.
I'd like to have a pot that in conjunction with the 220pf cap regulates its action like the tone pot in every guitar.
Now, I'm not sure that thats the same thing as fisically swapping caps values.
