Hello!
This are my first trials in etched boxes.
They turned out quite nice:

On the left side: DOD 280A Compressor
On the right side: Phase90 (with mods)

The pictures were printed out on thin paper and
ironed on the boxes. After etching i sanded, spray painted,
sanded again, spray painted with clear coating.
I used copper sulfate as etchand, as described here:

hope u like them!

cool!! that is nice with the color,  :)

did you just use "plain" printing paper or PNP or glossy paper?

barret77

they're looking really good... the orange pattern is gorgeous.

OT the thread, what are you using on the connections (the pink stuff on the left/ black on the right pedal) - is that heat shrink tube?

Those look great, I like the color. I like that big red LED where did you get it? From the back those pots look different what kind are they?

MartyMart

all connections are soldered and most are covered with heat shrink.
for toner transfer, i use the paper on wich the reichelt catalogue is printed.
www.reichelt.de
the paper can not be peeled off. i soak it in water after ironing.
than it can be rubbed away (carefully).
LED mountings are from conrad. i dont know the brands.

I was lucky to pull a big lot of those pots from e_bay.
they are from draloric. marking is "61C". they have 4mm shafts.

I'll second that, great job with the heat shrink tubing. Makes for a clean and reliable setup.

Nice work! Inside and outside. I love the etching.

very cool!
Is the blue one a fractal?

  Great looking boxes !
The pots look unusual in the photo's, as though they're taking up a smaller space inside the box than usual pots.
Maybe it's the angle of the 2D photo, but they don't look like they protrude into the box very far.

Very cool. Looks like you really pay attention to detail - you're a real craftsman with the soldering iron and heat shrink.
What are the boards - stripboard?
