I have a friend that wanted me to build him an amp quickly.  I told him I could get about 50 out of the LM3886, and he asked if I could get it up to 100w.  I offered a stereo solution but he really wants a 100w amp.  Is it possible to create a phase inverter to run two LM3886 in a class A/B operation.

Also I'm thinking of using a hammond 229A24 or 229A30 for power.  Would this provide the power needed for the poweramp?

Oh yeah, I don't know how quickly you can build, or how much parts cost in your area, but keep in mind you can usually get a cheap 100Wx2 receiver at your local big box store for <$100.  Or scour your local classifieds, lots of people are junking their perfectly good stereo systems for 5.1 surround systems.
