Tonebender, Orange TB? Best gains(hfe) for the OC76?

Ok gonna build them.   My supplier of OC76 said they will test the hfe of the trannys before they send them and that they will only send me the ones that test very close to the hfe I want.  So I am gonna build that 2 tranny Vox tonebender and the Orange treble booster.  What are the best gains(hfe) to use and ask for, for these two circuits.

I had OC75's in TB with gains of 40,70,120 and it sounded great.

I just looked up the OC76 in an old list, and it's an equvivalent to AC122, AC125 and AC128. these all originaly was specified for a Hfe around 90, so I gues for the Orange T&B, any Ge tranny with Hfe between 80 and 100 should work without needing to mess with bias and stuff.
there is a great article on the Dallas rangemaster over at geofex ( see the link above ) witch is very simular with the exeption of the tonecontroll..
