I built this pedal from ROG http://www.runoffgroove.com/grace.html and added the big muff tonestack to it http://www.diystompboxes.com/pedals/mufftone.GIF right before the volume pot. In fact, I've built this exact circuit a few months ago when I was really green but then I took it apart for some reason, even though it sounded great  ???. Anyway, at first I had a bias problem but I got the drain of the transistor (2n5457) to ~5v and now I have sound but with lots of hiss (still unboxed so...) but the tone and volume pots don't respond. I don't know where the problem lies, but I didn't put a 0.1uF cap at the ouput of the tone section, between the tone and volume controls, which is the only thing I can think of.  I guess the problem has to do with the IC, based on the nature of the error?

I've checked for the regular stupid mistakes, haven't found anything yet but can't promise  :icon_redface:. I'm taking a break, I've been at this all evening. Thanks in advance!
