Ok hey all Im after a new build project to celebrate my successful audition to a college music program.  Im looking for something along the lines of a smooth Vai-ish sound.  Id prefer it to be on the simpler end of things just because Im out of practice with building(I havent made a pedal for about 8 months).  Any suggestions?  Ive got enough parts to make just about anything.

Perhaps you should check out the Obsidian or BSIAB II.

Hi.
BluesBreakers and Tubescreamers are both smooth.  Try 3 diodes for some tubish tones.
cheers
