Let me know if you're interested in this, I have a version working and I'm just
doing some tweaking to the tone/bias setup on it, as it has a couple of "wierd" connections
like Q 3 "source" connecting to Q 4 drain and Q1 to Q3 have a kind of feedback path ...
If a few people want it, I'll draw one up over the weekend, once the "tweaks" are finished !
So far sounding very nice on gtr/bass, without the tonestack :D....... still tweakin'

Cheers,
marty.

Great, I may offer up  "non tonestack" and  "with tonestack" versions, so you can choose.
Without the tonestack it's lacking just a bit of "highs" and has a sort of "low mid" hump.
Sounding fab though :D
A friend of mine has a "mid sixties" version, so I may get a chance to listen to it on sunday
just to compare the overall tone and drive sound, perhaps that "hump" is in the original !

More later,
Marty.

How's the drive compare to the Professor Tweed?

I would say that its a "thicker" and "warmer" overdrive tone.
It doesn't sound quite like any other of my "J201" builds ....  :icon_lol:
"Digging in" really changes the sound, play light and it's bright and clear
hammer the gtr hard and it gets darker and a bit mushy....
:D

I've got a real '59 4x10 Bassman so I'll have to build it and compare.  I can't wait actually as my Bassman is THE BEST amp that I've ever heard, bar none.  Keep 'em comin' Marty!

BTW, as suggested, kicking it hard with a TS-9 ( gain at 11 o'clock vol at 2 o'clock ) sounds incredible !!
