So, I blew up my vero build of Torchy's 808 last year during a session and put it in the closet to fix later. I pulled it out this week to have a look and found a couple of mistakes (two diodes in the wrong place). I can get it to work, but only if I physically disconnect the drive pot from the chassis. With the pot connected, I get power but no effect when I engage the bypass. I've traced my build a few times but don't see any other errors. So, I guess there is some kind of grounding issue here, but not sure what it might be. The jacks and 3pdt ground to the vero board, and the board rests on a piece of secured foam.

The only mods are are couple different values on resistors (different gain) and cap switching via a dpdt (different bass levels).

Has anyone else run into this with their build? Thanks for reading.
