Single-Coil Humbucker Question for Aron

Aron,

You said on the "Low end alignment" thread that you were putting a humbucker/single-coil switch on some circuits.

Would you please explain what this involves?

I just finished building a Carvin GK-1 with an S-S-S configuration, and I plugged it into my BSIAB2 and it sounds horrible.  My T-60 with humbuckers sounds fine through it.  I need some Single-Coil Mojo!

If you are looking for some Humbucker's that fit in single coil slot's try these carvin twinblade's. seymour duncan makes some also.

Yep, should be in the lounge,  but what I think aron was referring to was wiring a humbucker with a coil tap, so you could have it run in single mode or humbucker mode.

For a drop in single coil size bucker, I really like the Duncan JB Jr. I put on in the bridge of my Jag and I love it.

Sorry guys, I like the single-coils.  It's the reason that I built the Carvin GK-1.  The question wasn't about coil-tapping switches on humbuckers either.

I think I read too much into that, thinking that he had a tried and tested method.  But I still think it's an interesting idea, and I wonder what you'd have to do to compensate for using either type of pickup in stompbox that works better with the other type.
