Tube reamer sounds good

Just built one, following Torchy's vero layout.

I don't get the null pot though. Looks like a trimmer would do the job, as there's only one setting where it sounds good. The diode switch is great of course. The bas switch is subtle but noticeable, but the sweet switch is SO subtle I can't hear any difference. As the enclosure has already 3 holes drilled for the external pots, I'll use a fixed resistor or trimmer for the null pot, and will put a tone control instead.

Where should I put the tone control?

1. Offset null wont do a lot but depends on the opamp used. More effective on a 741 than the  LF351 (741 is bipolar, 351 is JFET).

2. Bass/Sweet switch - try different cap values to get a marked change. See the discussion on the mids switch in the Blue Magic.

3. Try the SWT for a tone control. I would (personally) try this but may be wrong.
