Differences between sweet thing and BSIAB

I built a sweet-thing a few years ago and used it a lot on my modified bassman.  It worked great and I loved it.  Since then have built a TS clone (need to do the fat boost mod on it) and a liquid drive.  I am thinking on going back towards the sweet thing and am wondering what the tonal differences between the BSIAB and the ST are.  They are both based on the jfet minibooster schematic and in some ways look similar.  The sweet thing seemed to be more of a shred type distortion (Wheee!!) but as I'm progressing and changing  as a musician I am trying to move towards a cleaner/fuller/bigger distortion sound.  Thanks.
