Hi,

I just finished off building a TB MkII using the veroboard layout from the gallery and I found a mod to add a switch which would change the pedal to a straight fuzz.

I tried wiring it up by simply moving my input from the normal place and dropped it in as suggested on the schematic, and it does seem to work OK, but when I turn the volume pot on my guitar I get a terrible crackle sound (I tried a few different guitars, so I know they're OK).

I'd be grateful if anyone could spot where I went wrong, or has any suggestions.

Thanks

I see the signal coming in after Q1C, being connected to a 10k to V+, I don't know if that's your crackling problem, but it would seem that this would load the signal alot.
The way I've been doing it is leave it as a 3 transistor Fuzz and bypass using Dpdt or 3pdt, or
Use True bypass on both Q1 and the Fuzzface [Q's 2 and 3], this would require adding an output DC blocking cap to output of Q1,
