anyone know how to build a midboost for guitar, thats very similar to the EMG midboost? i love that thing to death, but only have access to one thats on ebay (im going to win that sucker, price is of no importance!  :icon_lol: ), and the one on that i got from that guy sounds pretty much like crap, its very harsh.

anyone know?

hey, you build it for me ill pay you top dollar, no kidding ;D

BTW: germanium transistors/diodes=garbage in my live rig
no longer the battle of midway...(i left that band)...

i hate signatures with gear lists/crap for sale....

Have you tried tweaking the EC midboost ?

Yup, that is mine.  Feedback has been really good on this.  Let me know if you have any questions.

Thanks,

I dont trust anything in a block of epoxy, as I cant get to the components in case I want to mod stuff to suit my gear. There are loads of schematics for good mid-boosters, some very simple. Id rather build my own that is tailored to my guitar/fx/amps. And this is a diy forum anyway.

Good luck with the boosters though :)
