I have two ceramic disc caps, one with a 10 on it and one with a 33. Are the values 10pf and 33pf? I'm used to seeing 331, 101, etc. Thanks.

The values are probably 10pF and 33pF as you guessed. When the third digit is a zero, it is often omitted to avoid confusion. Zero in the third digit means multiply the value from the first and second numbers by 1, where as a 1 in the third digit means multiply by 10, a 2 means multiply by 100, and so on.
