I pulled up this layout at the link below for the original tonebender MKII, and was wondering if someone could help me with the layout for the stomp switch wiring.  Any help would be appreciated.

Hello, and welcome to the forum!

Try this:

The middle column of lugs on the switch is for the LED, which isn't shown.  If you're using a DPDT, ignore the center column on the diagram.  The grounding is not shown either, as you'll have to decide how you want to do that since this is a positive ground pedal.

A search (the "search" button along the top of the page) should turn up lots more information about wiring and bypass options.
GEO is a great resource as well, as tcobretti mentioned.

You can check out the DIY FAQ here: http://www.diystompboxes.com/cnews/FAQ.html
and the GEO FAQ here: http://www.geofex.com/effxfaq/fxfaq.htm

Ask more questions if you have them, and good luck with your project!

Hey, thanks for the great response.  What would be the best way to ground the circuit? Also, is this assumption correct that the input/output jacks should be grounded?

Thanks,
Steve

The best way to ground the circuit depends on the transitors being PNP or NPN.  The polarized electro caps and battery have to be right to match the polarity of the transistors...

THe metal open switchcraft jacks are the best, imho, but they ground through the chassis.(if you use an aluminum one) but most send a ground wire to the sleeve of the jacks to ensure they are grounded incase they become loose or something...

if you search the forum, you can find alot about the different transistors people have used in the tonebender circuits...
