spring reverb tank

can anyone give me a tutorial or a guide on how to build a reverb tank unit?
and i another thing i want to know is can i use any spring i want?

  You can, I did.
  Then I bought an Accutronics IIRC <25$ for it.
  Take your 'driver' I used a speaker, hook the spring to the coil area, hook the other end of the spring to another speaker [the pickup] and amplify that...it 'works', but farts on bass, lacks treble etc.
  The drivers that come with the tank [and the springs][and the suspension] are the hard parts to making a reasonably small reverb.
  I got the idea to try making one after hearing a clip of...
  Basically two computer monitor speakers as the springs driver and pickup, and a slinky stretched to 9' or so, upright. Sounded pretty good too.
  They had used a *mixer to mix [most verbs have 'em] the dry and reverb, to amplify/record.
