Another possible switch pop solution?

I saw a diagram where the builder used not only a current limiting resistor on the positive side of the LED but also another resistor from the negative side of the LED to the swtich (not sure of the value yet). Any thoughts on this? I'm no genius, but it would seem to make sense. If you're getting switch pop sue to the sudden rush of current hitting the switch, it would seem a second resistor might solve the issue. Then again I could be stating the obvious or have no clue what I'm talking about.
