While checking Mark's SWTC circuit to see if I could use it with the Fat Boostered, and some other circuits, I searched for more options for a one knob tone control. I always prefered one Tone knob to Bass and Treble knobs.

Anyway, I remembered (meaning: it was in my favorites...) this circuit that could be used with opamps.

I thought it would be nice to mention it.

I'm still not decided for what I would like to use though, because what I am looking for is something to use with Fets or Transistors, not opamps...

It sounds like you're looking for a big muff tone circuit. You'll need a gain stage after it though... unless you tack it on the end of something ridiculous loud...
That opamp tone circuit looks pretty interesting!
I am not responsible for your imagination.

Thanks for remembering me the Big Muff.

I forgot about Jack's article http://www.muzique.com/lab/tone3.htm and that it has been used with many circuits in the last years. I just didn't think hard enough...  :icon_redface:

And yes, that opamp circuit looks interesting. Something to try... later.

Thanks,

Gilles
