What do you use for layout shapes, stencils etc. ?

I've seen a few sites that look like they may be using a generic flow chart program to show wiring to and from the circuit boards, switches, pots, jacks etc... Is this Visio? Some other program or even just a bunch of .jpg's in Illustrator?

I use Draw Plus 8 from Serif. I like working with objects I can move or delete if I am not satisfied.

Before, I was using Paint because it was fast and available. But I had to erase or start all over again when I was making mistakes or a new design.

It has some electronic shapes, but not being a program made specially for that, as many other programs used by some people on this forum, some new shapes has to be created the first time they are needed, and kept in a library.

The black shapes were already in the library, while the pot in color was created by me.

You can do the same with Paint and keep a file with all the shapes you use, as some people prefer to do.
