I just realized that your transistor is NPN and my rangemaster pcb is for a PNP positve or negative ground. My bad. What should I do? I put it in and it doesn't work of course. CTT

Bad form to reply to your own post, but I saw another post in archives with the same dilemma, but no reply. I have a Generalguitargadget PNP negative ground setup. What do I need to do to use this NPN transistor?

Reverse the orientation of the two capacitors (put the + where - is for both). Reverse the battery connections as well. (Put the red where the black should go and the black where the red should go).

That should do it.
