OK. I admit it. I'm one of those guys that was too excited then to have a hand at the free samples TI is offering and wasn't really paying attention to the package (should be DIP instead of SOIC) of the IC's I was ordering online. Throwing them or giving them away would just double the guilt so I would really like to put these into use. I've searched and found the conversion instructions but haven't found any pics.

1) I would like to ask anyone out there who had done it to post some clear close-up pics on it. A 14-pin or 16-pin one would be very much appreciated.
2) Pics on the Dead-bug prototyping method with SOIC is also appreciated.
3) Ready-to-transfer SOIC-to-DIP 8-pin, 14-pin and 16-pin layout is also good. I've found free electrons but it's only for SOIC-to-SIL and DIP-to-SIL.
4) Any other conversion methods that you can share is fine.

Please do NOT abuse the free samples process.

Those samples are for designers building commercial products. They are NOT for the DIY crowd.

Fewer and fewer companies are offering samples these days and that makes my life a little harder. I think one big reason for this trend is individuals abusing the samples process.
