not really.. sometimes I get pm's about how to turn the LA-light into a stompbox, without meter and with simplified bias..so here it is..

gone is the opamp-bias and meter amp, added are caps at input output. the resistornetwork on the input is straight out of Teletronix LA2a to make sound the way it does..very subtle and smoth..
initialy built for my homerecording studio 4 years ago and still in frequent use..

What opamp did you use?

Instead of the switched 2k7 resistor, would a pot make the ratio variable?

Is the first 100k pot a threshold control?

i was never able to debug my vero-layout of johan´s la-light version with the four diodes...gonna give that one a go !

am i right in assuming that the in- and output caps are not 100uF, as stated in the schem, but rather 100nF ? and what about the cap from ground to vref ?

i just did a vero layout for the LA Light stompbox edition (first in Lochmaster, then i transferred it to bancikas´s software).
i uploaded it to bancika´s gallery. i don´t know how fast it´s gonna be available (dunno how the process works).
