Has anyone had any success disassembling the older Hot Potz/Crybaby pots (mexico) that are really similar to Allen Bradley (usa) pots?  The ones with the brown dots around the face of the pot.  They have a big indentation on one side and that seems to be the biggest impediment, barring some sort of sealant.  Is there perhaps a tutorial with pictures?  I'm interested in swapping out the wafer.

why would you need to do that? replacements are incredibly cheap.

I also could have sworn I saw a sight that showed how to take it apart but couldn't come across it.

I have a bunch of the Allen Bradley/Ohmite pots.  But the problem is the small values (25K and 100K) have a shaft that is short and slotted for a screwdriver.  The larger values (2Meg and 5 Meg) have the more usable standard shaft.  They are going in a wah shell.

Where have you found them inexpensive?  I just glanced at ebay and there were 9 available for $5 a piece and the rest were $7 - $10.
