I don't know if I missed the memo or not,   :icon_wink:

but Steve has those 5K reverse pots for the AMZ MosFET booster. I need three.

This will hopefully stop the stream of "whats up with the pot on the MosFET?" posts.
I know I'm guilty of posting one  :icon_redface:

Anyone tried these in their MosFET booster?

I did recently and it did the trick. This will definatly
fix the problem everyone has.

I bought 10 of them and they work great.

I myself purchased 2 of these but as of yet, I haven't had time to try 'em out because I've been working on loads of layouts but, it's good to hear that they improve the throw of the level control!

They work perfect. Installed two tonight in two friends Mosfet Boosts.
They and I couldn't be happier.
Thanks to Steve at SmallBear
Thanks to Jack at AMZ for the best clean boost period.

They should work nicely as the "gain" pot on the Sparkle Boost as well. A bit more "even" control.

Ya know, the 5K linear GAIN pot in the Sparkle boost works for me.  Here's why.

Used it at a Christmas party. First time using it out.
I liked how I could throw the GAIN control quickly to a general area to get the right sound.
A quick twist of the wrist and I get the sound I wanted without micro tweaking.

I find there to be three zones around the GAIN pot rotation. Hit the pointer anywhere within the zone and thats a sound.
This is a little different for the last 1/4 turn as there is an linear increase of, lets just call it overdrive, from 3 to max.

However, clean tones are minimum to 11 o'clock, slightly dirty tones at 12 - 2 o'clock, overdrive after that.

It's like, because I was so excited, hyped, having extreme fun, drinking etc.
I needed a GAIN knob [on a booster] with limited response.

What I do think would be cool would be a way to maintain a constant output level when the GAIN is turned up full.
That's why I didn't use the 3 o'clock to max setting live, because I would have to re-adjust the LEVEL control and my hands just didn't have time to do that.

Thanks for the Sparkle Boost Dragonfly.
And thanks to Jack O for the MosFET.
