I finally got my first stompbox to have output, its a splitter blend +deluxe bazz http://www.runoffgroove.com/splitter-blend.html
http://www.home-wrecker.com/bazz.html

however im having a problem, and that is running my home made passive precision bass, seymour duncan quarter pounders i get distortion, which i guess is the point of a fuzz box right, however with the mix knob from the splitter blender, at one side i get the bazz fuss, but at the other end where i should be getting my clean bass sound i get a quieter very digital distortion, this cleans up if i turn my bass down very quiet, but thats too quiet, any ideas?

heres my voltages
battery:
8,62v
splitter blend:
ic1.

1,4,10
2,4,10
3,2,01
4,0,00
5,2,02

7,4,08
8,8,52

battery:
8,62v
splitter blend:
ic1.

1,4,10
2,4,10
3,2,01 [this one looks a little low
4,0,00
5,2,02 [so does this one
6,4,08
7,4,08
8,8,52
  ic2
1,3,95
2,3,95
3,1,95 [I'd start looking
4,0,00
5,0,00 [It looks as though this is connected to Vref when S1 is closed
6,7,41
7,7,92
8,8,50
IC1 pins 3/5 and IC2 pins 3/5 are all exhibiting low voltage, and the schematic shows the connections, resistances to the power supply rails, I'd test all these, perhaps what they have in common may fix all 4 pin biases.

D,8,50 Source follower, I think it's right.

I'd test separately, probably looks right, how's it sound?

it sounds ok, its quite noisy though, i think this may be because of the splitter blend, the bazz fuss is inside it so i hae no way of testing how the fuzz sounds on its own. ill check on those pins later tonight.

noone has any ideas? as far as i can work out my layout run exact with the scheme, could it be my pickup is too hot?
