Wow... That thing looks like a real nightmare to build! I might just have to try it as soon as I can find some box caps!

Anyone know off hand if the original (and I mean ORIGINAL) classic had TB?
I like amps etc.

If my memory serves me right, the "original" 1990 GT-2 was well loved, then after
a short gap they released a version II of which, people said " early one sounded better"
so the lastest one is the "classic" - an original GT-2  :D
Of course, I could be totally wrong !! but that's my understanding of it.

The GT-2 schematic (by Luja) is definitely different to the Classic schematic (they do have some common characteristics though).

I don't have the links for either schematic but in this pic,

http://aronnelson.com/gallery/3dm/Classic1

you can see the schematic for the classic - that's the one I remember.

The Sansamp GT-2 is a completely different beast to the Classic (from an end user point of view). The Classic uses many dip switches to get different tones. This is why it is often almost twice the price in some places. The GT-2 is primarily a high gain beast that is VERY (too) scooped on most settings. The Tri-AC is a wonderful sounding pedal, very nice.

For reference, both schematics are actually in the schematics section of this site (you must log in),

j.y

ive logged on.. but the link doesnt seem to be working ??

thanks in advance to everyone who helped me in anyway.

George Giblet

Not sure why.

You can check you are logged on properly by doing the following:

Above forum posts there is a line "theDIYstompboxes.com  |  DIY Stompboxes  |  Building your own stompbox  ....etc.

Click on DIY Stompboxes, that should take you to the forum selection page with major headings:
- DIY Stompboxes
- Projects
- Schematics and Layouts
- Reference and archives

If you can't see a "Schematics and Layouts" then the forum thinks you aren't logged in and it won't give you access to the schematics via the links.
