well ive tried the metalzone and kinda liked the nasal sound i get when the "freq" knob is tweaked...
like a stationary wah pedal or some sort...

any method i can get a sort of tone control schematc for this nasal sound?

The Metal zone has a semi parametric EQ tone control.
A wah circuit such as the "Colorsound Inductorless Wah" is simple to build and you can make it as a floor pedal with one knob.
Just search for it here and it will come up in a thread with a schematic.

Here is a parametric EQ that looks nice as well. It has a lot more control over the sound and has three different EQs you can tweak
