Hi!

I've installed a Schaller piezo tunamatic Bridge on my 335 copy and tied the piezo pickup directly to the gate of the Stratoblaster. The Stratoblaster (2n5457) is inside the guitar and in a small metal box. The preamp is phantom-powered (12 volts).

I wonder if I should block the gate and the pickup by a cap.

Sometimes the sound is distorted and just dies ...
Tomorrow I will also have a look at the mechnical side, whether I have installed the bridge in a correct way.

Anyway, most of the time the sound is just great, except for this intermittent distortion.

Keep you posted

It turned out to be a grounding problem, now the sound is just great, almost like an acoustic guitar, without the hassle of having a second guitar (on a stand)!

So, I do recommend the combo of piezo pickup and Stratoblaster.
