I'm a bit confused when it comes to the layout of the leg of certain transistors. I have the BYOC wah pcb board, and it accepts b109c's (from small bear) perfectly fine. I heard MPSA18's would work well in wah's also, but it does not work in mine. I know that mpsa18's are NPN transistors, but i don't know what the b109c is. I'm guessing that b109c's and mpsa18's are have a different leg layout? If i'm right, can anyone please tell me the difference?

Also do 2n5088/2n5099 have the same leg layout and applications as MPSA18's?

thanks,
murad

I'm going to do you a favor that doesn't seem like a favor. I'm going to teach you to fish.

Go google "2N5088" and "datasheet", as well as "MPSA18" and "datasheet".

In response to the questions in the forum - PCB Layout for Musical Effects is available from The Book Patch. Search "PCB Layout" and it ought to appear.

Hope this helps.

you can use google to search for transistor data sheets by just typing in the part number.
